Actor Jim Carrey took aim at the National Rifle Association (NRA) over the weekend with his latest politically charged portrait.
Carrey depicted the association’s new president, Oliver North, as a snake in front of the letters “NRA” dripping in red in a painting he shared on Twitter Sunday.
Someday they’ll say we turned a blind eye to the suffering and slaughter of our own children and gave ourselves over to scoundrels and sadists. The NRA is a national disgrace. The venom of greed is killing America. pic.twitter.com/bhiMMHTVGN

North, the controversial retired Marine and former Reagan White House aide who was implicated in the Iran-Contra scandal, was named the NRA’s new president last week. He has since made headlines after saying President Trump should sanction anyone who does business with Iran.
Carrey in recent months has taken to sharing satiric drawings of Trump and members of his administration including press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.
Carrey also shared artwork in criticism of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Vice President Pence over the weekend.
In his desperate and neverending quest for significance, bleaching the bottom teeth just wasn’t a priority. Giuliani was back! And his breath was badder than ever! pic.twitter.com/oZyCiUiEPX
