Former President Clinton is making a late-night TV pit stop as he gets ready to promote his first novel.

The ex-commander in chief will appear Tuesday on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” alongside his co-writer, bestselling author James Patterson, CBS announced on Wednesday.

The duo’s “The President is Missing,” its publisher says, “confronts a threat so huge that it jeopardizes not just Pennsylvania Avenue and Wall Street, but all of America.”

“Working on a book about a sitting President — drawing on what I know about the job, life in the White House, and the way Washington works — has been a lot of fun,” 71-year-old Clinton, known to be a fan of thrillers and mysteries, said when plans for the book were announced last year.

The “Late Show” appearance is part of a dizzying promotional push timed to “The President is Missing’s” June 4 release. Clinton and Patterson are scheduled to make stops in New York, Washington, Arkansas, and other states across the country and in Canada throughout June.
