Kim Kardashian on running for office: ‘Never say never’

Kim Kardashian West says she doesn’t have plans to run for office one day — but she isn’t ruling it out.
“Oh, I don’t think that’s even on my mind,” Kardashian West responded when posed with the question during a clip from CNN’s “The Van Jones Show” released Friday.
Jones pointed out that another reality TV star is currently sitting in the Oval Office.

“I guess never say never. But that’s not going to be like, ‘Kim’s running,’ ” she replied. “That’s not where I am.”

The 37-year-old mother of three said she just wants to help “starting one person at a time.”
Kardashian West met with President Trump in the Oval Office earlier this month to personally lobby for the release of Alice Marie Johnson, a 62-year-old woman serving a life sentence stemming from nonviolent drug and money laundering charges.
Trump granted Johnson clemency a week after his meeting with Kardashian West.
Kardashian West said she “broke the ice” during her meeting with Trump by cracking a joke about “The Apprentice,” the former reality TV show that he hosted.
Her husband, rapper Kanye West, has himself previously floated a possible future run for office. In 2015, he announced that he would launch a 2020 presidential bid.
West stirred controversy this year by becoming an outspoken supporter of Trump. He made headlines in April after sending a series of tweets about Trump and sharing a photo of himself in a “Make America Great Again” hat.
“We are both dragon energy. He is my brother,” West tweeted at the time.
Trump thanked West for the support, tweeting that it was “very cool!”
