Netflix has revealed more details about "Daily Show" correspondent Hasan Minhaj’s upcoming show, “Patriot Act.”

The weekly show is set to premiere on Oct. 28, with Minhaj using his “unique comedic voice and storytelling skill to explore the larger trends shaping our fragmented world,” according to a show description.

Netflix first announced the show in March, committing to 32 episodes at the time.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Netflix family as the country braces for another election season,” Minhaj said in a statement at the time. “And like you, I cannot wait to find out who [Russian President Vladimir] Putin picks this time.”

Minhaj is departing “The Daily Show” to host the weekly Netflix program.

The comedian made national headlines in 2017 when he hosted the White House Correspondents' Association dinner, roasting President TrumpDonald John TrumpDemocrats slide in battle for Senate Trump believes Kushner relationship with Saudi crown prince a liability: report Christine Blasey Ford to be honored by Palo Alto City Council MORE, who chose to skip the event.

"The leader of our country is not here," Minhaj said during his monologue at the dinner. "And that's because he lives in Moscow. It is a very long flight. It would be hard for Putin to make it."

Netflix also has a weekly program featuring the host of this year’s correspondents’ dinner Michelle Wolf, airing her show, “The Break With Michelle Wolf.”

Wolf, a fellow alum of “The Daily Show,” faced some criticism for her jokes during the annual dinner, particularly those targeting White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
