Margaret Brennan is taking on a new role as a mother — CBS’s “Face the Nation” moderator has given birth to a baby boy.

The journalist and her husband, Yado Yakub, welcomed Eamon Brennan Yakub on Tuesday at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Brennan, 38, hardly had a chance to bank any z’s ahead of Eamon’s arrival, interviewing Vice President Pence just last weekend and moderating “Face the Nation” on Sunday, her due date.

“CBS This Morning’s” John Dickerson will be filling in while Brennan is on maternity leave, according to CBS.

A pregnant Brennan told ITK in May of her hopes for her future bundle of joy when it comes to being raised in the nation’s capital: “People do such interesting work here.”

“Yes, it’s maybe a one-industry town that it all revolves around, but being able to appreciate that a lot of people have this sort of cosmopolitan sense of exposure to huge issues and policy, and politics,” Brennan said at the time.

“I’d love for our son to be worldly in that and appreciate where he’s grown up.”
