Actress Anna Kendrick revealed that she once jokingly called former President Obama an “a--hole” during a 2012 campaign event.

The “A Simple Favor” and "Pitch Perfect" actress recounted the incident during an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s “The Late Show” last week.

Kendrick told Colbert on Friday that she appeared with Obama during a campaign event in Los Angeles, during which he referenced the actress’s 2009 film, “Up in the Air,” describing it as one of his favorites.

The 33-year-old Kendrick said the president approached her after to apologize, saying: “I hope I didn’t embarrass you earlier.”

“Yeah, you’re such an a--hole,” Kendrick said she quipped to Obama.

The Maine-born actress said the two also joked about her punctuality, as she was the first person to arrive at the event, recalling that Obama asked her if people from Maine were “really punctual.”

“And I was like, ‘You didn’t know that? You’re the president!' ” she told Colbert of the interaction.

The actress once shared a photo on her Instagram of the exchange, in which the president is doubled over laughing.

“The coolest three seconds of my life,” she captioned the photo. “(What can I say? I'm hilarious).”
