Meghan McCain returning to 'The View' for first time since her father's death

Meghan McCain is poised to make her return as co-host of “The View,” weeks after the death of her father.

Sharing a quote from the classic boxing movie, “Rocky,” McCain wrote on Twitter:


John McCain, the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, died on Aug. 25 at 81 from brain cancer.

Meghan McCain had been absent from the chatfest since her father’s death. She had delivered an emotional and fiery eulogy for her dad at his funeral service last month in Washington.

"John McCain was defined by love," Meghan McCain said, speaking to his role as a father, husband, veteran and longtime senator.

"Love defined my father," Meghan McCain said. "I miss him so badly."
