Comedian jokingly encourages fans to 'unregister to vote'

Comedian Daniel Tosh jokingly encouraged his fans to unregister as voters, as other celebrities urge their followers to get out to the polls for the November midterm elections.

"i’m encouraging all my fans to unregister to vote," Tosh tweeted. "You are dumb as shit and do not deserve a say in this country."

Tosh tweet comes as popular figures such as Rihanna and Taylor Swift urge their fans to register to vote.

The November midterms are weeks away and Democrats are hopeful they can make gains in the House and Senate, both of which are currently controlled by small Republican majorities.

Democrats would need to flip 23 seats to take the House and are favored to do so, according to many predictions. FiveThirtyEight said Democrats have an almost 80 percent chance of regaining the House.

According to the FiveThirtyEight's predictions, Democrats have only a 1 in 5 chance of taking the Senate.
