The poll was conducted as Trump embarked on her first major solo international tour in Africa last week, in which she visited Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, and Egypt.

The polling also took place before clips from an interview Trump gave to ABC News — her first extensive sit-down since entering the White House — aired.

In that interview — part of a Friday night TV special, “Being Melania — The First Lady” — Trump said she considers herself one of the “most bullied” people in the world.

CNN’s SSRS poll was conducted from October 4-7 among 1,009 adults. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.
