Oprah, Reese Witherspoon among moderators for Michelle Obama book tour

Some big names — including Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon and Tracee Ellis Ross — are joining Michelle Obama on her upcoming book tour.
Moderators for the former first lady’s national tour to promote her memoir “Becoming” were announced by her publisher on Tuesday.
{mosads}In addition to the Hollywood stars expected to join Obama at some of the stops on her 10-city tour, other moderators include former Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, “2 Dope Queens” podcast co-host Phoebe Robinson, poet Elizabeth Alexander and former NPR host Michele Norris.
Many of the names on the all-female line-up are friendly faces to Obama and expressed their admiration for the 54-year-old author in announcements about their involvement on the “Becoming” promotional tour.

The tour is scheduled to kick off in Obama’s hometown of Chicago on “Becoming’s” release date, Nov. 13. OWN founder Winfrey will moderate the Windy City event.
Last month, Obama’s publisher and her book tour’s organizer announced they were adding additional dates at stadiums across the country “due to overwhelming fan demand.”
