Celebrities renew calls for gun control after California shooting

Hollywood stars are renewing their calls for gun control in the wake of the deadly mass shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
At least 12 people, including a sheriff’s sergeant, were killed in the Wednesday shooting at Borderline Bar and Grill, according to law enforcement authorities. The suspected shooter is believed to have taken his own life following the attack.
{mosads}As news of the shooting unfolded, several high-profile entertainers expressed sympathy for the victims, with many calling for gun control measures to be taken.
Ellen DeGeneres said she supported “everyone fighting to make change,” writing to her 77 million Twitter followers:
Another senseless act. 13 dead in another mass shooting. Families devastated by violence. Again. My heart is with the people of Thousand Oaks, and with everyone fighting to make change.

“Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and “Flashdance” star Jennifer Beals shared the names of gun control organizations:
