Kid Rock to participate in different parade after being removed as grand marshal in Nashville Christmas parade

Musician Kid Rock will be a special guest at a separate Tennessee Christmas parade this month after he was replaced as grand marshal for Nashville’s Christmas parade.

The Tennessean reported Friday that Kid Rock will be a special guest at the Leiper’s Fork Christmas parade later this month after reaching out to the parade’s organizers to participate.

{mosads}”He has some friends out here, and we’re wild and wacky, eclectic and fun,” Leiper’s Fork parade director Laura Musgrave told the paper. “This parade has never been about politics — it’s a Christmas parade.”

The musician will not be the grand marshal of the Leiper’s Fork parade in Williamson County. “The Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider will lead the parade, which is scheduled for Dec. 15.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was replaced as grand marshal in Nashville’s parade after he called “The View” host Joy Behar a “bitch” during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”

In his appearance on “Fox & Friends,” the musician took aim at complaints of political correctness and racism.

“God forbid you say something a little bit wrong, you’re racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, this that and another. People need to calm down get a little less politically correct,” he said.

“People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct, and I would say love everybody. Except I’d say screw that Joy Behar bitch, everybody but that,” he added.

He later apologized “for the language, not the sentiment.”

James Shaw Jr., the Nashville man who wrestled a gun from a shooter at a Tennessee Waffle House in late April, was appointed as Kid Rock’s replacement.
