Ocasio-Cortez on Cardi B’s feud with Tomi Lahren: Don’t ‘mess with Bronx women’
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y. ) is weighing in on rapper Cardi B’s feud with conservative commentator Tomi Lahren.
“Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted?” The lawmaker tweeted.
“They act as though our borough hasn’t been perfecting the clapback game since the Sugarhill Gang … y’all just found it on Twitter.”

The comment came in response to a Twitter exchange between Cardi B and Lahren, which started when the Fox News commentator mocked the “Bodak Yellow” performer for speaking out against President Trump and the government shutdown.
{mosads}After Lahren apparently sarcastically tweeted that Cardi B is “the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats,” the rapper responded: “Leave me alone I will dog walk you.”
The feud escalated Sunday, with Cardi B calling Lahren “blinded with racism” and a “SHEEP.”
“You’re so blinded with racism that you don’t even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much,” she tweeted. “You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!”

Cardi B, born Belcalis Almánzar, was born in the Bronx, like the 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez.
Ocasio-Cortez is no stranger to Twitter clapbacks herself, and has become known for her fiery responses to GOP lawmakers, White House officials and reporters.
