Bronx comedians Desus Nice (Daniel Baker) and The Kid Mero (Joel Martinez) will have the first-year New York lawmaker on their debut show Feb. 21.


In the teaser video, Ocasio-Cortez announces that she is "forming an exploratory committee to be the first guest on Desus & Mero."

Ocasio-Cortez, who represents the Bronx and Queens, has seen her prominence rise since defeating 10-term Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.) in the 2018 primary.

She has appeared on other late-night programs including "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

Baker and Martinez have interviewed several politicians, including Sens. Gillibrand will appear once again on the show this season. Musicians John Legend, Vince Staples and Pusha T as well as actors Issa Rae and Ben Stiller have also been announced as upcoming guests.
