'Queer Eye' star offers to help Ocasio-Cortez furnish her DC apartment

A star of Netflix’s “Queer Eye” on Thursday offered to help Rep. Bobby Berk tweeted at the congresswoman after Ocasio-Cortez admitted she had no furniture after two months of living in the capital.

“Hey @AOC! I hear you need some help decorating your place. I’d be happy to help,” the interior design wrote.

Ocasio-Cortez asked for home decor advice from her 3.5 million Twitter followers on Wednesday during a massive outage of Facebook and Instagram.

“Is Instagram still down? Bc after 2 months almost furnitureless in DC I am trying to take you all on the riveting adventure of getting: a chair,” the progressive firebrand asked.  “(Also, if you had to start a new apt from scratch, what would be the first 5 pieces of furniture/items you would get? Asking for me)”

The 29-year-old lawmaker previously opened up about her trouble finding an apartment in D.C. when she was waiting for her congressional salary to kick in.

She explained after her November election that the transition period will be “very unusual, because I can’t really take a salary. I have three months without a salary before I’m a member of Congress. So, how do I get an apartment? Those little things are very real.”

The third season of the hit makeover show “Queer Eye” will be released on Netflix Friday.
