Shaq officially named a Florida deputy

Shaquille O’Neal is officially a deputy at a sheriff’s office in Florida.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday that O’Neal would join the department as an auxiliary deputy.
{mosads}“Basketball legend @SHAQ goes by many nicknames, and now added to that list is Deputy Shaq. The big man now works as an auxiliary deputy with the #BSO,” the office said in a tweet on Friday morning.
“Sheriff Tony sat down with Shaq and the two talked about the different ways law enforcement works to keep communities safe,” the office continued.

The new job won’t be O’Neal’s gig first in law enforcement, however.
The former NBA star was previously sworn in as a sheriff’s deputy in the Atlanta suburbs in 2016.
