Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s recent engagement won the endorsement of none other than former President Obama this week.

Rodriguez took to Twitter on early Friday to share a photo of a letter from Obama congratulating the two on their engagement.

“Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement,” the letter states.

"After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better,” the letter continues. “All the best, Barack ObamaBarack Hussein ObamaTrump's regulatory rollback boosts odds of a financial crisis Five town hall takeaways: Warren shines, Sanders gives ammo to critics Ex-Obama CIA official makes 'Game of Thrones' cameo MORE.”


Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged earlier this month after the former Yankees player popped the question on a beach in the Bahamas.

Shortly after the two announced the news to the public, Lopez shared photos of Rodriguez proposing in addition to her reaction.
