Musician Kid Rock just received a giant middle finger from Vermont. Literally.

A local CBS station reported that the rocker got a carving of the vulgar hand gesture sent to him recently from Westford resident Ted Pelkey.

Pelkey went viral last year after he built a statue of the middle finger in an attack aimed local officials after they denied his requests to build an 8,000 square foot garage on his property.

Officials with the town’s Development Review Board reportedly denied his requests citing a lack of important information about the purpose of the proposed structure among other reasons.

Pelkey said at the time that he wanted to build the garage to relocate his nearby businesses to his own property.

“I’ve been put through the wringer by these people, and it’s just not right,” he said then. “I’m not trying to cause hate and animosity to the people who live in that town, because there’s very good people in that town.”

According to the local station, Kid Rock reached out to Pelkey shortly after the viral dispute to inquire about where he could get his own sculpture. Pelkey reportedly made another for the singer and even drove it to his residence in Tennessee.
