Just two weeks after “Game of Thrones” fans spotted a coffee cup in an episode of the show, the series is again being mocked for misplaced modern-day beverages.

Fans watching the series finale of the long-running HBO series noticed multiple water bottles in a pivotal scene of Sunday night’s episode.

The Verge reported Monday that the plastic bottles can be seen behind characters Samwell Tarly and Davos Seaworth as the lords and ladies of Westeros convene near the end of the series.

The network quietly edited the show’s May 5 episode after a coffee cup was spotted on a table in front of Daenerys Targaryen, one of the show’s main characters.

In a statement, HBO joked along with fans about the error, saying: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”

“Game of Thrones,” which has repeatedly set viewership and pirating records — the penultimate episode drew 18.4 million viewers the night it aired — has also infiltrated the political world. Lawmakers and candidates have often turned to references from the popular show to promote their political points or connect with constituents.
