Conservative filmmakers organizing stage play based on Strzok-Page texts: report

Filmmakers have planned a live reading next month of the play, which based on the pair's anti-Trump text messages, three sources familiar told Politico

“We’re lobbying the White House hard,” one production source told Politico. “We are being told the president loves the idea of exposing this.”

The project will be directed by Phelim McAleer, who has worked on films about abortion and fracking. McAleer told Politico that actor Dean Cain, who was in the anti-abortion film “Gosnell” will play Strzok. 

Page will reportedly be played by Kristy Swanson, who starred in the 1992 “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” movie. 

Swanson confirmed to Politico that she would be in the play and said the script includes some lines taken verbatim from texts between Strzok and Page, as well as Strzok's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, a transcript of which was leaked by Rep. “We are going to show the mainstream media and Hollywood that they can no longer push the Russia collusion hoax and force them to acknowledge how the Deep State, DC Swamp tried to destroy the Trump candidacy and presidency,” reads a crowdfunding page associated with the production.

The Studio Theater in Washington, D.C., told Politico that McAleer has rented one of its theaters for June 13.
