Trump to meet with Prince Harry during UK visit

President Trump will reportedly meet with Prince Harry during his state visit to the United Kingdom next month.

CNN reported that the prince will attend a private lunch with Queen Elizabeth II on June 3, the first day of Trump's planned visit.

The prince's wife, American actress Meghan Markle, who just had the couple's first child, is not expected to attend. Markle called Trump "misogynistic" and "divisive" in 2016, prior to marrying into the royal family.

The Trumps also did not attend Harry and Markle's wedding last year. The couple largely avoided extending invitations to U.S. political figures. Former President Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, who have been close with Harry, also did not attend.

First Lady Melania Trump, who met Harry at the Invictus Games in Toronto in October 2017, will also reportedly attend the lunch.

Additional members of the Trump family are expected to join the president on the visit but are not expected to attend the private lunch.

The trip is Trump's first official visit to the U.K. and is timed for the president to participate in activities for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Trump paid a "working visit" to Prime Minister Theresa May last year.

Trump will be welcomed to the country by Prince Charles, according to CNN. Trump's first day of the trip will also include a state banquet at Buckingham Palace.
