Daily Show to air special live episodes after June Democratic debates
"The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" will air live after both of the 2020 Democratic primary debates, Comedy Central announced Tuesday.
The specials, called "World War D: Let's Get Ready To Ramble - Part I & II," are part of the show's ongoing "Votegasm 2020" coverage, which will air June 26 and 27 at 11 p.m. following the first Democratic primary debates.
The guests will include Perry Bacon Jr., senior writer for FiveThirtyEight, on Wednesday and Howard Dean, the former governor of Vermont, Democratic presidential candidate and Democratic National Committee chairman, on June 27.
According to Deadline, the event will mark the ninth time "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" has aired live, doing so most recently after this year's State of the Union address and the 2018 midterm election.
The debate stages will be crowded both nights, with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) facing off against Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas), as well as seven other candidates on the first night.
For late-night watchers, NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and CBS's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" are also set to host live post-debate specials, according to Deadline.
