Rapper and actor Jaden Smith has launched a food truck to provide homeless people in Los Angeles with healthy vegan food free of charge.

Smith shared a photo of himself standing in front of the black truck, which has “I Love You Restaurant” painted on its side, on Instagram on Monday.

A video he shared shows scores of people lining up at the truck to receive food.

In the video's caption, Smith called the I Love You Restaurant effort "A Movement That Is All About Giving People What They Deserve, Healthy, Vegan Food For Free."

“Today We Launched Our First One Day Food Truck Pop-Up in Downtown LA. Keep A Look Out Because This Is The First Of Many,” he said.

Comedian Kevin Hart praised the 21-year-old artist for the effort in a comment on his post, writing, “This is so dope…I love what you are doing man.”

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals also gave Smith a shoutout for the effort on Instagram.

“Love this so much, you’re helping changing the world for humans and animals,” the animal rights group said.

According to the Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority, roughly 50,000 to 60,000 people may experience homelessness in Los Angles County on any given night.

Smith also captured headlines for his charitable efforts last year when his foundation teamed up with a church to bring clean water to Flint, Mich.
