Former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton quoted words from Lizzo’s hit “Truth Hurts” in a viral exchange with the singer on Wednesday.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Lizzo shared a video showing then-Democratic presidential candidate Clinton standing for the country’s Pledge of Allegiance at the start of a primary debate in the months leading up to the 2016 election.
Clinton could notably be seen standing as the sole female candidate in the bunch, while Lizzo’s chart-topping song begins to play in the background.
In response to Lizzo’s tweet, Clinton retweeted the video on Wednesday with the caption: "I just took a DNA test, turns out..."
