The entertainer announced in an Instagram post that he had raised the funds over the weekend with his LudaDay Weekend event, which is hosted by his foundation around Labor Day and promotes social service and responsibility.

Money raised from ticket sales during the event, which takes place in Atlanta and often features a number of the rapper’s celebrity colleagues, generally goes toward his foundation as well as charities benefiting children. But this year, the “Fast & Furious” actor said the money will be donated to disaster relief efforts underway in the Bahamas.

“Over 100K Raised over The Weekend!!” Ludacris said in the Instagram post. “THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT!!! NOW WATCH ME WORK!! #givingback.”

Ludacris joins a number of other celebrities and business that have donated money and resources to the region in the wake of Dorian, including Disney, Royal Caribbean, and celebrity chef José Andrés.

Dramatic footage went viral earlier this week showing widespread destruction left behind by the hurricane in the Bahamas. Reports on Thursday night placed the rising death toll in the Bahamas in the aftermath of the storm at 30 so far, though hundreds more remain missing.
