Mattel will release a "Day of the Dead Barbie" to commemorate the Dia de los Muertos holiday traditionally celebrated in Mexico.

The $75 collectible Barbie will hit the shelves on Thursday ahead of the holiday, which takes place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, USA Today reported. The doll will be available for purchase through Walmart, Target and Amazon.

It is dressed in a long black dress with ruffled sleeves that includes embroidered flowers and butterflies. She has an artsy skull painted on her face, which is a typical practice during the festival to represent lost loved ones.

The Dia de los Muertos is a holiday in which people honor loved ones who have died with festivals, cemetery visitations and skull face-painting. It has been depicted increasingly in Hollywood, including the 2017 Pixar film "Coco" and in 2015's "Spectre."

The release of the "Day of the Dead Barbie" follows Mattel's August reveal of the $30.99 collector dolls depicting civil rights activist Rosa Parks and astronaut Sally Ride. A $50 David Bowie version also came out in July, USA Today reported.
