Trebek returns to ‘Jeopardy!’: ‘I’m still here’

“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek started his 36th season Monday with three words: “I’m still here.”
“I truly hope you folks have enjoyed revisiting some of our special tournaments throughout this past summer,” Trebek said as the show began this week.
“But today, ‘Jeopardy!’ begins its 36th season on the air, and I’m happy to report I’m still here.”{mosads}
The quiz show returned to screens across the country Monday.
Trebek, 79, announced in March that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He continued filming as he went through treatment.
The host announced he would return to the show in August after he had finished his chemotherapy treatments.
Trebek has hosted “Jeopardy!” since 1984.
