A night earlier, the 2020 White House hopeful and the "Rent" star were snapped embracing at another glitzy event, the premiere of "The Need to Grow" in Washington, D.C. The environmental documentary is narrated by Dawson.

Booker, a longtime bachelor, praised his girlfriend of a year in a March interview on "Ellen." The 50-year-old senator told host Ellen DeGeneres of Dawson, "She's a deeply soulful person and has taught me a lot of lessons about love already."
