The Iowa Democrat announced her engagement to Daniel Wasta, a staffer for Sen. MORE's (D-Mass.) 2020 presidential campaign, on Sunday.

The pair, who have been together for almost two years, plan to tie the knot in Finkenauer's home state, where they both grew up, according to her office.  


Warren revealed the news during a weekend campaign town hall in the Hawkeye State.

"I have an announcement, in case you haven't already heard it," Warren told the crowd. 

"Abby Finkenauer's getting married," Warren said in a sing-song voice. "She's marrying Daniel Wasta, who's my political director," the White House hopeful added playfully. "And I'm really excited."

Finkenauer, 30, was elected last year.

The couple has not yet announced a wedding date.
