Hillary Clinton praises Greta Thunberg for ‘Person of the Year’ win: ‘Grateful for all she’s done’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton praised Greta Thunberg after Time magazine named the teen climate activist its “Person of the Year,” tweeting that she could not think of a better choice for the award.
Clinton said that she is grateful for all Thunberg has done “to raise awareness of the climate crisis and her willingness to tell hard, motivating truths.”
“I couldn’t think of a better Person of the Year than @GretaThunberg,” the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee added. “I am grateful for all she’s done to raise awareness of the climate crisis and her willingness to tell hard, motivating truths.
“As she said today: ‘Change is coming, whether you like it or not,’ ” Clinton said.

Clinton in October honored the 16-year-old Swedish climate change activist on International Day of the Girl.
“On this International Day of the Girl, I’m thinking about all the gutsy girls who are changing the world—@GretaThunberg, @Emma4Change, @NaomiWadler, and @Malala, just to name a few—and all those who will. #DayOfTheGirl #GutsyWomen,” Clinton tweeted at the time.
