Super Bowl fans can place bets on more than just who will be clutching the Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 2. They can also wager on how political — or not — the pigskin showdown may get.

The offshore site SportsBetting.ag is unveiling a rundown of Super Bowl-related bets for when the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Miami.

Among the bets announced Tuesday are how many commercials this year will have “a political theme,” with an under/over of 4.5, whether President Trump will tweet during the main event or predict a winner and how many players on the victorious team will refuse a traditional invite to the White House after the game.

Daniel Wallach, the co-founding director of the University of New Hampshire School of Law Sports Wagering and Integrity Program, notes that “companies that operate offshore, while they may be accessible within U.S. borders, they are illegally doing business with U.S. residents.”

While United States-based customers are unlikely to be prosecuted for making offshore bets, Wallach, an attorney and founder of Wallach Legal LLC, says, “No regulated bookmaker in the U.S. would accept those kinds of wagers.”

There are also chances to make some bucks from betting on the ads that Trump’s reelection campaign and 2020 White House hopeful Mike Bloomberg’s own camp plan to run during the Super Bowl. Gambling types can make a guess whether Trump will “personally address” viewers in his $10 million ad buy, which was announced earlier this month. 

Bloomberg, the former New York mayor seeking the Democratic nomination, is also poised to spend millions for a campaign spot during the NFL’s climactic event. Bets can be placed on how many times Bloomberg’s commercial will say “Trump” — with an over/under of two — or if the words “impeach,” “gun” or “climate change” will be used.

People can also wager on which will be higher: Trump’s approval rating the day after Super Bowl LIV or the yardage of the longest reception during the game.
