White House announces lottery for Easter Egg Roll
It'll soon be time to roll — the White House is announcing details for this year's annual Easter Egg Roll.

The free event is open to families with kids 13 years old and younger. Tickets are distributed through an online lottery that opens the morning of Feb. 18 and closes on Feb. 24.

Last year's festivities on the White House's South Lawn — which typically feature children's entertainers and the president delivering remarks alongside a human-sized Easter Bunny — were a record-setter, with farmers donating 74,000 eggs to the roll, according to the American Egg Board.

This year will mark the 142nd Easter Egg Roll at the White House, which dates back to President Rutherford B. Hayes's administration.
