The House freshman tweeted on Tuesday:


The book's publisher, Dey Street Books, called the upcoming release an "inspiring coming of age story of a refugee."

Omar, the first Somali American member of Congress, came to the U.S. as a refugee at the age of 12.

The 38-year-old lawmaker is also one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress, along with Rep.
