"Late Late Show" host James Corden plans to host a celeb-packed TV special that will urge viewers to adhere to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Homefest: James Corden's Late Late Show Special" will air Monday, CBS announced Wednesday. The special will be presented "in the spirit of bringing people together to keep people apart," the network said in a statement.

The late-night host will broadcast from his garage and interview stars "from the safety of their homes." The TV special touted performances by K-pop group BTS in South Korea, Billie Eilish with Finneas and John Legend in Los Angeles, Dua Lipa in London and Andrea Bocelli in Italy.

Corden and the performers "will encourage viewers to follow the recommended guidelines from the CDC and government officials to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the strain on the medical community," CBS said. The show will also include information on how viewers can donate to The CDC Foundation and Feed the Children.

As countless schools and businesses have been closed across the country and public gatherings limited, public health officials have urged people to stay home as much as possible to stop the spread of COVID-19.

"Shooting from James’ garage may be far from perfect," Ben Winston and Rob Crabbe, executive producers of "The Late Late Show," said in a statement, "but under the circumstances we hope it can help someone, somewhere, who needs some cheer right now.”
