Former President Clinton inked a deal to produce a documentary series on the American presidency for the History channel, Deadline reported Thursday.

The former president will executive produce the documentary series, which intends to examine the history of the U.S. presidency and obstacles presidents have encountered. It is likely that Clinton will be featured on camera, according to Deadline.

The series will be produced by A+E Networks’s production unit, and other producers are expected to be announced soon.

A+E Networks Group President Paul Buccieri told Deadline the documentary series will give a glimpse at how presidents deal with challenges.

“It’s so gratifying seeing him fully immersed in this project as an executive producer,” Buccieri said. “He’s really, really involved, breaking the creative, it’s fantastic. It’s quite a personal project for him.”

The announcement follows the 42nd president’s participation in History Talks, the A+E Networks’s live event at Carnegie Hall. Clinton spoke alongside former President George W. Bush. Buccieri said his experience at History Talks “solidified” his involvement in the project.

Clinton is also executive producing an adaptation of a novel he wrote with James Patterson, “The President Is Missing,” for Showtime, according to Deadline.
