AMC Theatres is planning to re-release “42,” the film in which Chadwick Boseman starred as legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson, this week in honor of the late actor.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company will be screening the film at over 300 sites starting this weekend. Customers will reportedly be able to purchase tickets to attend the screenings on Tuesday. 

Boseman starred alongside Harrison Ford, who portrayed former Brooklyn Dodgers manager Branch Rickey, in the hit film. The film tells of the story of when Robinson became Major League Baseball’s first African American player.

The film is named after Robinson’s number and received critical acclaim upon its release in 2013, It grossed roughly $100 million worldwide, according to Variety. The budget for the film reportedly clocked in at about $42 million. 

The report comes several days after the death of Boseman. The actor, also widely known for his role in “Black Panther” as King T’Challa, died at the age of 43 last Friday after battling colon cancer. His death sent shockwaves throughout Hollywood and social media.

Shortly after news broke of his death online, Ford praised Boseman’s talents in a statement obtained by Variety. 

“Chadwick Boseman was as compelling, powerful and truthful as the characters he chose to play. His intelligence, personal dignity and deep commitment inspired his colleagues and elevated the stories he told,” Ford said.

“He is as much a hero as any he played. He is loved and will be deeply missed,” he added.

AMC Theatres will reportedly be selling tickets for screenings of the film for $5. Regal Cinemas and Cinemark will also reportedly be screening the film.
