Alyssa Milano to launch web series on election security
Alyssa Milano is launching a web series in partnership with several nonprofit organizations about election security, the actress announced Wednesday.
The web series, titled “Own The Vote 2020,” is being launched with the nonprofits Free Speech for People, Stand Up America, Let America Vote Action Fund and When We All Vote, the organization founded by former first lady Michelle Obama.
The first episode will debut Monday, Milano said.
I’m very excited to share the news.

“I feel like the election is being threatened — everything from insecure voting machines to information warfare to our ability to vote safely,” Milano told The Hollywood Reporter. “So we decided to get some people together to educate and empower the American people on not only election security but also voter rules and regulations for every state.”
Milano will serve as a moderator for the six-episode program, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The actress also advised others to vote early, if they can, either in person or voting by mail.
“We have to encourage people to spread out [voting] as much as possible so that the polls are not overwhelmed and the post office is not overwhelmed. It’s really just going to take all of us to preserve this democracy,” she said.
