After much outcry from fans of annual holiday specials, Apple TV+ has reached a deal with PBS to bring the "Charlie Brown" Thanksgiving and Christmas specials back to the air.

Apple TV+ began exclusively streaming the classic "Peanuts" holiday specials last month, prompting fans to form online petitions and gather hundreds of thousands of signatures to return the series to broadcast TV, the Associated Press reported.

Apple had attempted to compromise with fans by offering each holiday special to stream for free for several days.

On Wednesday, Apple compromised by announcing its partnership with PBS to air ad-free broadcasts of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" on Nov. 22 and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on Dec. 13.

Additionally, both specials will be accessible for free during three-day windows on Apple TV+ from Nov. 25 to 27 for "Thanksgiving" and Dec. 11 to 13 for "Christmas."

Any Apple TV+ subscriber can access the specials beginning Nov. 18 and Dec. 4, respectively.
