Celebs join growing calls for Trump impeachment

A number of celebrities — including Lady Gaga, Kerry Washington and Rob Reiner — are adding their voices to the calls to impeach President Trump for a second time, warning that failure to act could lead to the death of democracy.
In a message to her more than 83 million Twitter followers on Thursday, “Stupid Love” singer Lady Gaga blasted Trump, saying he “incited domestic terrorism” at the Capitol a day earlier.
Following his “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington, a mob of Trump supporters protesting the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College win stormed the Capitol, ransacking the historic building and leading to the evacuation of lawmakers and the deaths of at least five people, including a Capitol Police officer.
The 34-year-old Grammy Award winner, born Stefani Germanotta, wrote:
I hope we focus to impeach Trump so Congress has the constitutional authority to possibly disqualify him from future election—the #25thAmendment doesn’t disqualify him. He incited domestic terror—how much more violence needs to happen? This is terrorism.

“A Few Good Men” director Reiner, a frequent critic of Trump, said Friday that any member of Congress who doesn’t sign on to impeachment efforts “supports Sedition.”
Impeachment or the end of Democracy.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday if Vice President Pence and Trump’s Cabinet do not invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump, impeachment proceedings will begin.
While many entertainers are pushing for impeachment, “I Like It” rapper Cardi B says she wouldn’t support the move with less than two weeks until Trump is out of office on Inauguration Day anyway.
