Lady Gaga sings national anthem ahead of Biden inauguration
Lady Gaga kicked off President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration with a stirring performance of the national anthem.
The 34-year-old entertainer — who was a prominent Biden supporter during the 2020 White House race — appeared Wednesday sporting a large red skirt and an oversized golden dove brooch. Accompanied by the United States Marine Band, she sung the anthem into a gold-colored microphone.
It wasn’t the first time the “Stupid Love” singer, born Stefani Germanotta, performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” on a national stage — she belted out the anthem at the 2016 Super Bowl.
Along with Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks are also expected to perform at the 59th presidential inauguration.
