The first lady, sporting a pale pink coat, was eyed behind the macaroon-filled counter at The Sweet Lobby in D.C.'s Eastern Market.

Her pastry pitstop came after she had coordinated earlier Friday some "surprise Valentine messages to the country" in the form of heart structures on the North Lawn of the White House.

The art pieces had messages such as “unity,” “compassion” and “courage."

“Valentine’s Day has always been one of her favorite holidays," the first lady's press office said in a statement.
