Shortly after her inauguration debut, Emhoff signed a modeling contract with IMG Models. She walked in her first Fashion Week event last month, a virtual Proenza Schouler show.

She has also continued her work in design, showcasing a penchant for knitwear with pictures on her Instagram feed.

During the Vogue video, Emhoff and May can be seen bouncing ideas for their collaboration off of one another, agreeing to meld together their signature styles: Hay's traditional feminine silhouettes and Emhoff's colorful and playful patterns.

Emhoff notes that her life has taken a turn since her father became second gentleman, with the collaboration opportunity being just an another example of it.

"I have to be honest I wasn’t expecting this," she says.
