Carole King: It’s ‘not too late, baby’ to get coronavirus vaccine

Greg Nash

Carole King is telling Americans it’s “not too late, baby” to get a COVID-19 vaccine in a reworked version of her 1971 hit song.

“You’re going to be so strong and healthy, when it’s your turn, just take it,” King belted out as she played piano in a Monday tweet to her more than 100,000 followers.

“Don’t be too late, baby. Don’t hesitate,” King, 79, sang into the camera.

King said she was inspired to pen the pro-vaccine edition of “It’s Too Late” after seeing country music icon Dolly Parton change the words to “Jolene” while receiving her vaccination in a video clip that quickly went viral last week.

In another tweet, King exclaimed, “I’m getting my vaccine!” as she was seen receiving her shot.
