Showtime developing limited series about Jan. 6 Capitol riot

Showtime is developing a limited series about the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol, the premium TV network said Thursday.

He'll also executive produce the series along with Shane Salerno and Josh McLaughlin.

Showtime, which has ordered three scripts for the currently untitled one-hour limited series, said it "will examine and explore multiple points of view of the events leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, including the final days of the Trump administration, and culminate with the attack itself, the aftermath, and the FBI and congressional investigations."

The attack led to the deaths of several people, including Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick.
