Michelle Obama jokes about quarantine conditions: ‘I’m tired of my husband’

Michelle Obama is joking that she’s “tired” of former President Obama and can’t wait to ditch him for a post-coronavirus pandemic night out on the town.

The former first lady shared during a Monday interview on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” some of the first moves she’d like to make when quarantine conditions are finally gone.

“The first thing I want to do is get back out in the world. I want to go to a concert. I want to go to Broadway,” Obama, 57, exclaimed. “I want to see a play. I want to be with people. I want to sit in a movie theater.”

“I’m tired of my husband,” Obama, who was promoting her new Netflix series “Waffles and Mochi,” cracked to laughs from the audience.

“And he’s really fascinating, he really is,” she said of the former commander in chief. “But I just need some other energy.”

When asked the same question about her post-pandemic wish during an appearance on Clarkson’s show last month, first lady Jill Biden said she wanted to enjoy a martini and French fries.

“I need to just remind Jill that they actually do have plenty of fries and martinis at the White House,” Obama said on Monday.

“You don’t need to wait. They got it all there,” she said with a smile.

“But I think maybe what she meant is that she wanted to have fries and a martini with some makeup on out in a restaurant somewhere,” said Obama. “I’m in that place, too.”
