The young girl was named after her great-grandmother, whose nickname was “Lilibet,” the representative said in a statement.

“Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales,” the statement said.

The news comes a little more than two years after the couple welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in the United Kingdom in May 2019.

The Duke and Duchess moved from the U.K. to California the following year. There, they later founded Archewell, Inc., a nonprofit venture named after their first child that is committed to philanthropy among other efforts.
