McCain on Monday tweeted a Deadline article detailing the project, which is tentatively titled, “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff: The Kristine Carlson Story," and expected to tell the story of Carlson’s life as a single mom after the sudden death of her husband, psychotherapist and motivational speaker Richard Carlson.
McCain tweeted that she was “beyond excited” about the project.
“Can’t wait to share it with all of you!” she added.

The Lifetime movie is the first project McCain has unveiled since she announced she would be leaving "The View" the end of the month following four seasons co-hosting the program.
McCain said at the time that it was “not an easy decision," calling the show "one of the greatest and most exhilarating" experiences of her life.

The Lifetime film is also the first movie project for Locklear since she attracted national attention over her 2018 arrest and charges of battery against first responders, as well as her subsequent visit to a psychiatric facility.
The “Melrose Place” actress has since been open about her mental health recovery, and last April posted on Instagram that she was celebrating one year of sobriety.
The 59-year-old wrote in an Instagram post this week that she is “so excited,” to begin working on the project, and leading up to the announcement shared images of several of Carlson’s books and “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” baseball caps and other merchandise.
