Fall Out Boy announced in a Wednesday Instagram post that they are canceling two shows after someone on tour with the band tested positive for COVID-19.

"Out of an abundance of caution, Fall Out Boy will not perform at the New York and Boston shows of the Hela Mega Tour," the statement read, noting that Green Day, Weezer and the Interrupters will still go on.

So far, the rock band will still play the tour's Wednesday show at Boston’s Fenway Park and Sunday in Washington, D.C., according to the New York Post.

In their statement, Fall Out Boy stressed that everyone on the multi-band tour has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

"It’s important to note that everyone on the entire tour, both band and crew, are vaccinated," the group wrote. "Each band and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and in between shows."

A COVID-19 safety protocol officer also joined the bands on tour to make sure that all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines were adhered to, the band added.

It's not clear at this time who the infected person is.
