Cynthia Nixon trolls Cuomo over Emmy loss
Actor and former New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon on Tuesday trolled disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who defeated her in a 2018 Democratic primary, over the loss of his honorary Emmy after he stepped down.
The difference between me and Andrew Cuomo? Neither of us is governor, but I still have my Emmy(s).

Nixon’s dig came after the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced it is rescinding Cuomo’s honorary Emmy from last year after his resignation, which followed an investigation from New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) that found he had sexually harassed several women in addition to breaking state and federal laws.
Cuomo was awarded the Emmy for his role in leading his state during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to Variety.
He easily defeated Nixon, one of the stars of “Sex and the City,” and other Democratic challengers in his bid for a third term three years ago.
Following his resignation, former Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) on Tuesday became New York’s first female governor.
