The organization Free Britney America will host the two lawmakers on their Instagram Live Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. Eastern to discuss conservatorship reform and why they became engaged with Spears’s case.

The discussion comes before the group will hold a rally at the Capitol on Saturday.

Cassandra Dumas, who leads the group’s D.C. branch, told the Washingtonian the rally is happening because Spears is still not out of her conservatorship, and to draw attention to others who have been negatively affected by their own.

“Unfortunately, one of the things that’s gotten lost in this conversation is it’s not just Britney; she’s not the only one suffering,” Dumas said. “While Britney is getting out, we have an amazing opportunity as fans to shine and continue to make movement on this.”

The rally will come three weeks after Spears’s father filed to end his conservatorship over his daughter.

The Free Britney movement gained national attention after the pop star alleged the conservatorship with her father has been abusive, saying she was forced to get an IUD and take medication against her wishes, along with other accusations.
